The Boston Parent Infant Program was established in 1985 to provide services to newly diagnosed Deaf and Hard of Hearing infants. Our comprehensive parent-centered program offers support and assistance to families during the critical first three years of a child's life.
Through weekly home visits and counseling, an Individual Needs Assessment is outlined, and a program is developed for the child and his/her family. The program offers a variety of services which include:
Our services are delivered by certified Teachers of the Deaf with expertise in early childhood development and multiple disabilities. Families of children from birth to three years with a known or suspected hearing loss of any degree who live in Boston or surrouding communities may participate in the program.

Our services are free of charge. Referrals are welcome from parents as well as the following agencies: Cochlear Implant Teams, Early Intervention Programs, Health Centers, and Hospitals.
